[ about me ]
I’m a self-taught and always-learning photographer. I photograph sports, landscapes, people, architecture, and just about anything else that catches my eye. Photography is one of those things that’s personal, yet sometimes other people have the same response to a photo. I love seeing color and light, and trying to capture what I see in real life into my camera.
I first learned about photography in elementary school when we built pinhole cameras out of boxes we brought from home. When I was about 12 years old, my grandfather gave me my first 35mm camera, a Rollei 35. This was a very cool camera, and it had the claim of being the smallest full frame 35mm camera ever made! I then saved lots of lawn-mowing money to buy my first SLR- a Nikon EM. I used this camera to shoot sports photos for my school newspaper. As a teen, I setup a film darkroom in our basement (sorry about taking over that bathroom, Mom!). But it was the shift from film to digital which was really HUGE, and I fully embraced it, and never looked back.
I've covered the following sports:
For high school sports, you can check if I've covered your school, or contact me to request this. I'm also a MaxPreps pro photographer. MaxPreps offers high school sports photos for purchase.
